Check out this great white at San Onofre. Is it just a matter of time??

Me my Shark and I from Chuck Patterson on Vimeo.

From what I understand the juveniles feed on fish until they reach around 8-10 feet then they change their diet to include small mammals. I'm no expert but this one looks to be a bit over 8'. Everyone keeps saying if they haven't attacked anyone by now they won't. I don't know if I am buying that theory, this one sure looks pretty comfortable around humans. I am definitely a bit wary of paddling my kids to the outside there. Is it just a matter of time before someone gets chomped?? By the way, I'm sure these guys cruise up to Lowers regularly, and a group of guys out at Cottons saw a big one cruising the lineup this last Saturday. On another note, correct me if I am wrong, but the closest place with sea mammals(seals) would be at Seal rock, just outside of Riviera and a number of other very populated beach breaks in San Clemente. What do you think??

The waves have been bad, and the sun wants to play another day.

Here's what we have been doing to keep busy. We got a chance to ride this pump track up at Oakley, makes you feel like a kid again!
