LOOSE CANNON
The Loose Cannon is a full outlined shortboard inspired by the trend towards the shorter wider boards being ridden by many of the top pros these days. The board is designed with a full outline in the nose, a pronounced hip at the front fins and a wide rounded square tail. The board has a low entry rocker, with a substantial single concave through the front of the board with a double concave dropped into it between the fins. The back of the board has a moderate tail kick and a slight vee out the last 6 inches of the tail. The Loose Cannon is perfect for smaller and less powerful surf, while still being solid and stable enough, to ride, well into overhead plus surf. ORDER FORM

The Cole Firefly Quad is the culmination of years of experimentation research and testing. This X10 was inspired by Kelly Slater’s short , full nose, step up, that he rode in this years Pipe masters. We originally designed this board as a step up board for bigger surf, and the results were great. Soon after, some of our team riders began experimenting with the board in small to medium surf, and found the board to be very drivey and fast. To make the board even more versatile, and to loosen it up a bit in smaller surf, we ended up increased the tail width and put a bit more kick in the tail. We also tested it as a quad in addition to the tri set up, and had great feed back on the all around performance of the board with both fin configurations. This board will be introduced into our 2010 catalog as one of our most versatile designs yet.

The full outline, combined with the flatter deck and fuller volume, help the wrecking ball catch small or weak waves super easily. The bottom features a very subtle single concave through the relaxed entry rocker, feeding into vee through the back one third of the board. The vee allows the board to transfer from rail to rail with ease. We have then dropped a unique "bonzer" style double concave between the feet to keep the board running at full speed down the line, and through flat ,or soft sections. The Single Barrel is a state of the art performance shortboard, it has a relatively low entry rocker and quite a bit of rocker out the tail. The board has a single concave starting about 16” back from the nose and running the full length out the tail. The outline has the wide point back about 1 ½’from center to accentuate the curve in the back ½ of the board. This board is very drivey , while at the same time it is really snappy off the top and in the pocket. Even though it is short, the low entry rocker combined with this full length concave allow this board to catch waves and plane through sections with ease. For 2010, we’ve added this board in a five fin with 4 bonzer side runners and a single box, this fin setup works amazing with this design making it very carvy and drivey, yet still very loose.
